Replied to the topic Tired of failed cycles!!!
This was one of the hardest parts of IVF for me. I found that each failed cycle moved the goalposts a little. At first I had a specific number in mind, but after every setback I'd tell myself I could handle just one more retrieval or one more transfer. Eventually I realized the decision wasn't reall...

During my last retrieval cycle my estradiol was over 5000 pg/ml before trigger. We retrieved 26 eggs and I ended up doing a freeze-all because of OHSS concerns. I'm curious what estrogen levels others reached before trigger and whether your clinic changed anything because of it. Did higher E2 leve...

Yes, I experienced some pain returning after stopping pregabalin (Lyrica) following my surgery. In my case, it was difficult to tell whether it was the medication wearing off or my nerves still healing, but the pain gradually settled over time. I also noticed a few temporary symptoms while tapering ...

Replied to the topic AMH and older age.
From what I've learnt reading up on fertility, AMH is more of a marker of ovarian reserve than fertility itself. It gives an idea of how many eggs are left, but it can't tell you whether you'll conceive naturally or how good the egg quality is. As we get older, egg quality naturally declines, so doc...

Replied to the topic AMH and older age.
AMH test gives the doctor an idea of the ovarian reserve, to estimate how many eggs are remaining, It does not tell that you are going to get pregnant or not. However it helps to find fertility treatment options specially for a person with more age.

Yes, some people do report pain or symptoms becoming more noticeable after stopping Pregabalin /Lyrica, especially if it was helping control nerve-related pain. It doesn’t always mean the surgery failed. sometimes the medication was masking residual nerve sensitivity, inflammation or the nervous sys...

Replied to the topic Tired of failed cycles!!!
For me it came down to whether I still had it in me emotionally, physically and financially. The failed cycles were heartbreaking, but I also didn't want to make a decision in the middle of that grief. I took a step back, gave myself some time, and then decided what I could realistically cope with. ...

Not at all. I think when you've been through infertility, loss or a difficult journey to get pregnant, it's almost impossible not to overthink every little thing. I was exactly the same. Pregnancy after all that waiting doesn't suddenly switch the anxiety off. You're definitely not alone in feeling ...

I have seen women with endometriosis and fibroids go through a lot of uncertainty around fertility, and it can feel really overwhelming. Stage 3 endometriosis and transmural fibroids can make things more challenging, but natural conception is still possible in some cases depending on the individual ...

No, surgery is not always necessary for bilateral ovarian endometriosis (endometriomas on both ovaries).Whether you need surgery depends on your symptoms, cyst size, fertility goals and how the cysts behave over time.

Replied to the topic HIV and fertility
Women with HIV may need some additional planning and monitoring during fertility treatments, but many are able to pursue fertility options successfully with proper medical care. The focus is usually on controlling the virus, reducing transmission risks, and choosing the safest treatment approach. It...

I felt exactly like this. Every scan, every blood test and every appointment felt like I was bracing myself for bad news. Infertility had trained my brain to expect disappointment, so even when the pregnancy was progressing normally, I never really got that carefree feeling other people describe. Di...

Replied to the topic AMH and older age.
AMH can be helpful at an older age because it gives an idea of ovarian reserve, meaning roughly how many eggs may remain. But from my understanding, it doesn't tell you anything about egg quality, which is where age becomes a much bigger factor. I've seen women with relatively good AMH in their late...

I'm 27 with an AMH of 1.2 and have been reading a lot about ovarian reserve. One thing I'm curious about is whether age ended up helping your response despite a lower AMH, or whether the low reserve was reflected quite clearly during treatment.

I have bilateral endo too and this was one of my biggest worries. I don't think surgery is always the answer. It really depends on how bad the pain is, how big the cysts are and whether they're affecting fertility. I was curious about all the options before deciding too.

Replied to the topic Does IUI work on the first try?
I'd love to know this too. I keep seeing such different experiences with IUI. Some get lucky on the first cycle while others need a few tries before it works. If yours worked first time, was there anything different about that cycle?

Replied to the topic early diagnosis and treatment
From my experience and what I’ve seen with others, early diagnosis and specialised treatment really can make a difference. Symptoms can be managed more effectively, and it is possible to restore fertility in many cases. It doesn’t remove all worries instantly, but it does offer hope and tangible way...

I remember feeling completely overwhelmed with overthinking during my pregnancy and it felt like my mind wouldn’t stop racing. Talking about my fears with someone who understood, and focusing on small daily steps to stay calm really helped me get a bit of peace. It doesn’t go away instantly, but it ...

I feel this deeply. It's like infertility teaches you to guard your heart, so it's difficult to fully enjoy the pregnancy at first. Be kind to yourself—you've been through a lot. Every week is another step forward, and I hope this pregnancy brings you the happiness you've been waiting for.
