I am curious how common it is for IUI to work on the first attempt. Did anyone here conceive on their first cycle, or did it take multiple rounds? Would love to hear real experiences and what factors might have helped .
IUI can definitely work on the first go! I know people who conceived on their very first cycle, while others needed a couple of rounds. From what I’ve seen there isn’t always a rhyme or reason behind it some people with good numbers need several tries and some just get lucky. It can feel frustrating that it isn’t more cut & dry, but it also means a first-IUI success is totally within reach. Wishing you all the best, hope you hear some encouraging first-IUI stories here! 💛
I conceived on my first IUI attempt but I've also seen plenty of people need 3-4 cycles or move on after that, so I don't think first-cycle success says much about how the overall journey will go. Factors like age, diagnosis, sperm parameters, follicle response and timing seem to matter a lot, but sometimes it still feels surprisingly unpredictable. Would love to hear what everyone's diagnosis and IUI number was too!!!
