for those who had low AMH, what was your experience? were you able to conceive naturally or did you need IUI/IVF? if you went through fertility treatment, how did your doctors approach it?

Low AMH is one of those things that sent me down a rabbit hole because the stories are all over the place! I'd love to hear not just who conceived naturally versus needing IUI/IVF, but also whether their doctors were concerned by the AMH itself or focused more on things like AFC and age when deciding on a plan!

I had low AMH and one thing I learned pretty quickly was that it didn't predict my ability to get pregnant as much as it predicted how many eggs I might get during fertility treatment. Some people with low AMH conceive naturally, while others move to IUI or IVF depending on age, sperm factors and how long they've been trying. I'd be really interested to hear how different doctors approached it too, because it seems like there can be a lot of variation in recommendations.

some women with low AMH conceive naturally, while others need treatments like IUI or IVF. fertility specialists often consider age, AFC (antral follicle count), ovulation, sperm factors & overall fertility history when deciding on an approach. for IVF, doctors may adjust medication protocols to maximize the number of eggs retrieved, but the plan is usually individualized.
