I’m looking for realistic insights from those who have gone through the process.
Tbh the physical part surprised me less than the mental exhaustion 😕 the appointments, waiting, hormones, injections, uncertainty and constantly planning life around cycles can make your whole world start revolving around IVF for a while. Physically I’d say bloating, fatigue, mood swings and feeling emotionally “off” were the biggest things I noticed, and honestly the best prep for me was making life as easy as possible beforehand instead of trying to “power through” everything 😭
What hit me most about IVF was honestly the constant waiting 😕. Physically there’s bloating, injections, heaviness and exhaustion, but emotionally it can feel like ur brain never switches off because every stage comes with another result to wait for. I think preparing mentally for the uncertainty helped me more than anything else.
