Why is there no home test for endometriosis where you could just buy a sanitary pad, use it on your period and get test results on your phone showing whether or not you had endometriosis. Why cant it be that simple so we know what's goimg on, instead of years of being dismissed?
This is because it cannot be seen in period blood, it attaches to your organs and doesn’t move. Unfortunately the only way for a proper diagnosis is operation. Its kind of like a cancer, it spreads and you can have ‘tumours’ anywhere, but until it’s removed and you can do a biopsy on it you won’t know what the tissue is.
I get the frustration so much. It feels like it should be that simple right, just a pad and an answer instead of years of being told its nothing. The awful part is endometriosis tissue sits outside the uterus and doesnt reliably show up in period blood, so there isnt one clear thing they can test for yet, which is so unfair. No one should have to beg to be believed. Have you been dismissed for a long time too?
