My amh came back low but my scan apparently showed a decent follicle count so now I’m completely confused 😕 Has anyone else had reports that didnt really match each other like this?
Did your doctors rely more on amh or AFC while planning treatment/IVF? I keep reading different things everywhere and would really like hearing from ppl who actually went through this themselves.
Yes this can happen actually 😕 AMH and AFC usually correlate but not always perfectly, which is why these mixed reports confuse sooo many ppl. I’ve seen women have lower AMH but surprisingly decent follicle counts on scans and sometimes doctors look at the overall picture instead of just one number alone. Fertility stuff becomes mentally exhausting cuz every report starts contradicting the last one 😭 so ur confusion is honestly very understandable.

Honestly fertility numbers can get SO confusing when they don’t seem to match each other 😭 I remember spiraling over every lab result because one test would look reassuring and another suddenly wouldn’t. Bodies really don’t always fit neatly into the textbook “this number should equal this outcome” thing.
