no , endometriosis itself does not typically cause an atrophic uterus or vaginal atrophy. Vaginal atrophy is most commonly caused by low estrogen levels, such as during menopause or from certain hormone-suppressing treatments used for endometriosis .

if you have endometriosis and are experiencing vaginal dryness, burning, or pain with sex, it's worth discussing with your gynecologist because these symptoms may be related to low estrogen, menopause, medication effects, or another condition rather than endometriosis alone.

From my own experience with endometriosis, I was told that endo itself doesn't necessarily cause an atrophic uterus or vaginal atrophy. However, some treatments used for endo that lower estrogen levels can sometimes lead to symptoms of vaginal atrophy. It's definitely worth discussing with the doctor, especially if you're noticing new symptoms. Wishing you the best...

however, women with endometriosis can experience symptoms like vaginal dryness, pain during sex, or pelvic pain, which may have other causes and should be evaluated by a gynecologist. if you are having these symptoms, it's important to discuss them with your doctor so the underlying cause can be identified & treated.
